			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Main Idea: Exercise is good for you.  You should still try to do what you can in the area of athletics, without overdoing it.</strong></p>
<p>Some Lyme doctors say that people with Lyme disease shouldn&#8217;t exercise aerobically.  I disagree.  I think that we should work up to an intense burn.  Spirochetes <strong>don&#8217;t like oxygen</strong> and working out aerobically provides oxygen to the tissues.  I think that the increased oxygen and the elevated body temperature actually kills spirochetes.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t overdo it.  I can only work out hard every other day.  The other day I do stretches and situps and jump on the mini tramp to keep my body moving.</p>
<p>Here is what I&#8217;ve been doing.  I&#8217;m a runner and run several times a week.  I still need several naps per day and have a lot of pain (as of the end of 2010), but I&#8217;m still trying!</p>
